Private rail operator, Stern & Hafferl Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH, will continue to count on Universale Bau for the future
With its new framework agreement for track construction works within the rail network of Stern & Hafferl Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH, the BBW Group’s track building specialist has secured the successful continuation of a decades-long partnership.
2021 was jokingly called the “year of the track”. March of last year saw the launch of the Traunseebahn (railway) / Kirchham area construction project. Alongside building a passing loop, Universale Bau’s assignment also included the construction of the central platform. Aside from the usual surface and substructure track works, earthworks and cable construction work, the company also carried out the construction of the platform and waiting room on this section of the narrow gauge line.
The subsequent construction projects comprising the Linz local rail / Bergham area and the Vorchdorf rail project / Waldl section, entail a similar scope of works and services. In both of these areas the track system was completely renewed together with the substructure, cable ducts and drainage systems installed, pylon foundations established and the central platform built. All three projects were handed over to the utmost satisfaction of the client.
Particularly notable is the outstanding collaboration with Stern & Hafferl Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH, a partnership that Universale Bau has maintained for several decades by now. It will continue yet again this year, when Universale Bau will once more demonstrate its capabilities on the tracks operated by the Gmund-based private enterprise.
