Realizing a DB Project in Collaboration
The structured cooperation among its individual companies has distinguished the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group for years. This was once again demonstrated by the company in the track renewal project between Marktredwitz and Arzberg for their client, DB Netz AG.
Following various preliminary tasks, a track renewal was carried out using a continuous-flow process, including ballast cleaning, over a distance of approximately 1.6 km from the end of April to mid-May this year. The project was led by the commercial track construction team of Bahnbau Wels. Particularly challenging was the fact that the construction section was located in rough terrain, with access to the construction site only possible at the beginning and end of the work. In addition to Bahnbau Wels, other companies from RSRG were involved in the construction progress: JumboTec provided the cleaning machine RM 95 and the tamping machine Matisa B66 UC with SSP 110 SW, while Rhomberg Sersa Deutschland supported logistics.
The outstanding collaboration both with the client DB Netz AG and within RSRG significantly contributed to the smooth progression of construction tasks and the timely realization of the project.
