Self-propelled vehicles, they will be used for Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail’s (IÉ’s) Perway Inspection Team to ride along the track under load and carry out a quarterly visual inspections.
The new Geismar machines are currently being commissioned.
The vehicles feature advanced technology including sophisticated IT systems which allow for the track geometry measurements, as well as delivering leading ultrasonic capabilities.
